Other Yorkshire areas
Elsewhere in Yorkshire, value growth has been patchy. Towns such as Huddersfield, Halifax, Elland and Dewsbury are not immune from some of the hangover being felt in the Leeds market but are slightly more insulated from oversupply. Bradford has not seen much growth in 2006, but the significant regeneration of the city centre, Government relocations and infrastructure improvements are all positive factors which should help in the medium term. York is generally doing well, with a strong rental market, whilst Hull has steady investor demand on the back of a lower tone of values.
