Do's & don'ts of where to buy
Do
- Buy within easy distance to public transport links or major road networks
- Buy on the edge of a village
- Buy in the town centre or on the edge of town
- Buy in the city centre
- Buy something with a waterfront view
- Buy close to a golf course
- Buy close to local amenities
- Buy in a property ‘hot spot’ or area of regeneration
Don’t:
- Buy anything remote, you will be excluding a majority of your market
- Buy next to a sports ground
- Buy next to a busy road
- Buy close to a railway line
- Buy under a major flight path
- Buy an apartment on a higher floor when there is no lift available
- Buy a property with poorly maintained communal areas
- Buy next to a sewage works, milk depot, car garage or milk depot!
- Buy in a flood risk area
- Buy next to a pub or busy restaurant
