Mansion block
These are common in inner-city areas. They are often grand buildings, with lots of character, and have remained as they were originally intended. They are often well maintained, with well kept communal areas and usually a lift because of the higher floors. Rooms are often very well proportioned, and often have original period features. They often have lifts and a porter, which are most desirable to the higher paying tenants.
The location of these types of property are often very good – and close to lots of amenities in inner-city areas.
The downside is that they can be expensive and the maintenance charge can be quite high – although desirable residencies for tenants.
